In his blog entry, Bradley writes: "Hype around Ulitzer.com (the
social-journalism news magazine site) is climbing. At one point they were
offering authors 200% of their Google AdSense revenue... I am convinced that
the only way to change the world is through collectively determining how we
spend our money and our votes. Will Ulitzer be this vehicle?"
Ulitzer content is grouped in 25 distinct subjects from "Aerospace and

New Media on Ulitzer
The first "Ulitzer New Media Power Panel" took place at the Santa Clara
Convention Center in Santa Clara, California. Streamed live to 60,000 viewers
via SYS-CON.TV, the panel was moderated by Jeremy Geelan. Geelan's guests in
the first power panel were Ian Thain and Tim Crawford.

Some of you might have read at least one of my blogs on Ulitzer, categorising
the ins and outs of industry trends around the world across different

Ulitzer.com, which will be launched in February 2009, with 6,000 authors and
more than 850,000 original articles, is looking for enterprise software
architect(s), programmer(s), and Web app developer(s). The site will offer
original content in more than 2,000 topics ranging from AJAX to Zebra.
Ulitzer claims that by 2010, three out of 10 books on any subject will be
published at Ulitzer.com, and Time Magazine, The New York Times, Scientific
American, and the rest of today's magazines and journals will be replaced by
Ulitzer in the next five years.

Despite Google's $159 billion market cap - or rather, one suspects, because
of it - Jimmy Wales, the guy who created - for better or worse - Wikipedia,
figures Internet search is broken - because it's proprietary - and needs to
be reinvented, freeing "the judgment of information from invisible rules
inside an algorithmic black box." (Odd, he questions the biases of
algorithms more than Wikipedia articles. Hmmm.)
