Ulitzer Will Never Leave You For Thailand

Some of you might have read at least one of my blogs on Ulitzer, categorising the ins and outs of industry trends around the world across different verticals. My Position allows me to oversee departments from brand management to email marketing, to dealing with senior Media partners such as Thomson Reuters and WSJ. But the most fun and challenging part of my job is running the PR team. Traditional PR still remains the most cost effective way to get my companies messages out, working with editors across the world supplying them with valuable content is a privilege. However! One of my team (For the purpose of this piece we shall call him ‘Dan the Mexican’) has had recent success getting... (more)

AJAX and RIA Market Is Heating Up: Sun CEO

"The economy might be cooling down, but the RIA market is definitely heating up," declared Sun's CEO Jonathan Schwartz recently in his widely-read industry blog. Schwartz was writing as Sun shipped its 100,000,000th JavaFX runtime - a download rate that makes it the fastest growing RIA platform on the market and demonstrating the fastest adoption of any product Sun has ever shipped. "What you can do with Flash is comparable to Silverlight, and again comparable to JavaFX," Schwartz noted, adding: "That said, must you use JavaFX or Flash or Silverlight to be a part of the rich internet future? Well, no - Apple used Objective-C for the iPhone, after all, completely discrediting the purist notion that if the app isn't written with a web scripting language, it isn't fashion forward." Schwartz underlined the happy fact that the 100,000,000 milestone was reached just in tim... (more)

Orchestra Featured on SAP Ulitzer Site

Wow, look at me, I'm famous. Oh wait, what have I done. Are people going to follow me to the grocery store with cameras now? Probably not, unless the world turns it's attention from Jon and Kate to SAP Business One. But in our little world, this is pretty cool. Orchestra and myself are featured on the SAP site at SYS-CON. Check us out on the front page. As an FYI, SYS-CON is part of Ulitzer, which is a huge news site. It runs on Drupal and is reported to be one of the largest Drupal sites in existence, expected to have millions of views per month with over 2 million nodes. We don't just like it because it is Drupal though, Ulitzer is an awesome business and tech site that has replaced some other sites for me.  Here are some links to this site and others like it: SAP SYS-CON Site:  http://sap.sys-con.com/ SAP Business One Journal on Ulitzer:  http://sapbusinessone.ulit... Ulitzer Live! New Media Conference & Expo

http://twitter.com/fuatkircaali I live 11 minutes away from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey. Friday evening I took a Cessna Caravan for a short 45-minute flight to Martha's Vineyard. This was my first trip to the island. I didn't do any research and had false expectations based on my long-time love affair with the island of Cat Cay in the Bahamas. I found out that Martha's Vineyard was huge. Upon landing on the island, my pilot called a cab for me to take me to my hotel. According to the cab driver the island's population was around 30,000 off-season and well over 100,000 during its peak summer season. These numbers change drastically from driver to driver or whomever you ask, of course. As compared to a maximum three to six neighbors any time I go home to Cat Cay, this was an instant shock to me. I had a relaxing two-day weekend in Martha's Vineyard. As long as I ... (more)

Confessions of a Ulitzer Addict

John Funnel on Ulitzer Earlier this year one of my staff attended a SYS-CON event and returned to the office a different person. Revitalised and motivated. I asked her what happened at the event to warrant such a transformation? What was her secret? Was it the New York Shopping experience? A business Romance or was it Devine intervention? She simply advised me to ‘check out Ulitzer. – Everyone who is anyone is on it’. She was not the first to introduce me to the innovation. Many of my peers had gone through such noticeable changes, It was like a weight had been lifted from their shoulders, that they now had a true portal to vent out their innermost thoughts. I was instantly intrigued by such recommendations. People, just like me, were using Ulitzer everywhere. So what had I been fighting against all this time? What was I avoiding? Eventually I succumbed to the in... (more)
